Wir vermissen ihn sehr. Er war ein wirklicher Freund von uns und der Galerie.
In zahlreichen, gemeinsamen Abenden erfuhren wir vieles über sein bewegtes Leben und seine Träume, die er noch verwirklichen wollte.
Wir werden ihn als unvergessenen Freund in bleibender Erinnerung bewahren.
Prof. Dr. Klaus Albrecht Schröder, Direktor der Albertina, bezeichnete ihn im Vorwort des Ausstellungskataloges der Galerie am Lindenplatz von 2020 als "Poet der Farbe".
Ty Waltinger malte Zeit. Sein Werk ist sowohl in der formalen Umsetzung als auch in seiner Konsequenz von grösster künstlerischer Kraft.
Durch die Verwendung von kostbaren, alten und raren Pigmenten wurde die Leuchtkraft der Farben verstärkt und für die Betrachterin / den Betrachter intensiver sicht- und erlebbar.
Der Direktor des Museum Appenzell, Dr. Roland Scotti, benannte seine Werke als "Climate Paintings" anlässlich der Ausstellung 2021 in Appenzell, welcher durch einen umfangreichen Museumskatalog begleitet wurde.
Die prozessualen Werke, die in enger Kooperation mit der Natur und dem Klima entstanden, sind zeitlose und bildmächtige Metaphern für das Werden und Vergehen von Gefühlen, von Bildern, von der Wirklichkeit.
Prof. Edelbert Köb, Gründungspräsident des Kunsthauses Bregenz und langjähriger Direktor des Museums Moderner Kunst in Wien, kuratierte gemeinsam mit der Galerie c.art den Biennale Auftritt von Ty Waltinger 2017 im Venedig.
Es war der Wunsch von Ty, dass die Galerie am Lindenplatz in Vaduz und die Galerie c.art in Dornbirn, wie bisher, sein Werk weiter betreuen.

We miss him very much. He was a true friend of ours and of the gallery.
In numerous, common evenings we learned a lot about his eventful life and his dreams, which he still wanted to realize. We will keep him as an unforgotten friend in lasting memory.
Prof. Dr. Klaus Albrecht Schröder, director of the Albertina, described him as a "poet of color" in the preface to the Galerie am Lindenplatz's 2020 exhibition catalog.
Ty Waltinger painted time. His work is of the greatest artistic power, both in its formal realization and in its consistency.
Through the use of precious, old and rare pigments, the luminosity of the colors was enhanced and more intensely visible and tangible for the viewer.
The director of the Museum Appenzell, Dr. Roland Scotti, named his works "Climate Paintings" on the occasion of the 2021 exhibition in Appenzell, which was accompanied by an extensive museum catalog.
The processual works, created in close cooperation with nature and climate, are timeless and powerful metaphors for the becoming and passing of feelings, of images, of reality.

It was Ty's wish that the Galerie am Lindenplatz in Vaduz and the Galerie c.art in Dornbirn, as before, continue to look after his work.
